NEWARK, DE -- University of Delaware men’s lacrosse head coach Bob Shillinglaw has announced that seniors Tom Scherr, Evan Crowther-Washburn, Brett Manney, and Drew Turner have been named co-captains for the 2008 season.

All four played key parts in Delaware’s outstanding 2007 season that saw the Blue Hens post a record of 13-6, capture the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament title, and advance to the NCAA Division I semifinals for the first time in school history. The team will also be honored as the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association Team of the Year at the annual DSBA Banquet this Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Chase Center in Wilmington, DE.

Shillinglaw, who will begin his 30th season at the helm of the Blue Hens this spring, welcomes back five starters and 30 letterwinners from last year’s squad.
