Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse Television, Radio Schedules Announced

BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team will once again enjoy the most extensive coverage in the nation in 2009 as 11 of the Blue Jays' 13 regular season games will be televised, including nine nationally, and 12 games will be broadcast locally in the Baltimore area on the radio.

Johns Hopkins is the only school in the nation with an exclusive national television contract for men's lacrosse as ESPNU contracted with the Blue Jays after the 2005 season and will broadcast every home Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse game. Several of the Blue Jays' road games will also be broadcast on ESPNU. The only Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse games that won't be televised during the 2009 season will be the Blue Jays' games at UMBC and Mount St. Mary's.

In addition to the most extensive television coverage in the nation, the Blue Jays also enjoy a radio package that is second-to-none. Twelve Hopkins games will air on ESPN Radio 1300-AM in the Baltimore area. A schedule conflict with 1300-AM will prevent the Johns Hopkins-Syracuse game from airing locally on the radio.

All radio broadcasts will also be available on the official web site of Hopkins athletics (www.HopkinsSports.com). For the Johns Hopkins-Syracuse game, a link on the Johns Hopkins web site will be established to the Syracuse radio broadcast.
